Product Details

Rodent MACE granular is effective in repelling mice, rats, squirrels, and other pesky rodents. Effective in all seasons. Rodent MACE is easy to use and works to stop trailing, nesting, chewing, and gnawing rodents. With a strong and minty peppermint scent, these mint-powered granules keep rodents out! Rodents' acute sense of smell detects the rodent repellent before they enter an area and avoid it. Rodent MACE granules form a scent-and-taste barrier that rodents hate, so they leave on their own—no poisons, toxic chemicals, or snap traps required. That means zero risk of secondary poisoning to birds, pets or wildlife and no rodent carcasses rotting in walls or attics.

  • Yes. Rodent MACE granular is made of plant-based ingredients and is safe for use around family, pets, and wildlife (when used as directed). It is a pet-safe rodent repellent that drives rodents away in a humane way. It does not kill or harm mice or rodents. We understand the risks when using toxic pesticides which is why we promote the use of plant-based products for healthy agriculture, households, and ecosystems.

  • Absolutely. It can be used for both indoor & outdoor use. Follow these steps for easy use and cleanup in tight, confined areas such as closets, laundry rooms, pantries, kitchens, and behind appliances. Cut small holes in a paper bag, add 2 ounces of granules, and place the bag in problem areas. Replace the bag contents weekly for best results. Some users have found success using stockings, organza bags, breathable pouches, and other DIY containers.

  • Nature’s MACE Granular Rodent Repellent works for about 3 weeks or until the scent fades. When outdoors, rainfall, sprinklers, or strong sun can shorten that window. Refresh granules when you notice the mint scent fading. You can also refresh the granules, and enhance results, by spraying them with Rodent MACE liquid spray. Rodent MACE is a great addition to any rodent repellent program.

  • Yes. Rodent MACE is used to stop mice, squirrels, ground squirrels, chipmunks, and other rodents from digging in flowerpots, hanging baskets, planter boxes, raised beds, landscaped beds, flowerbeds, and gardens. Simply sprinkle it over the plants you wish to protect. It is used by gardeners and landscapers to protect seeds and plant bulbs. Rodent MACE granular can save plants from rodent damage and stop rodents from making a mess out of your dirt or mulch.

  • Yes. Rodent MACE Granular is safe for use in gardening and safe for use on all types of plants, when used as directed. Avoid direct contact with the edible portions of fruits or veggies and always rinse produce before eating.

Nature's MACE product being used outdoors

How to Use

For the first application, apply Rodent MACE granular heavily and directly to areas rodents may enter, feed, or hide. Seek out entry points, runways, and nests. Apply alongside your home’s foundation and work outwards to drive rodents away. Re-apply weekly, or as the product’s scent fades, to maintain control. Apply monthly for ongoing, preventive protection. Re-apply after frequent or heavy rainfall. If you are trying to protect a specific thing, such as a trashcan or entryway, use a perimeter application by creating a 1-3-inch-wide band around the area/thing to be protected.

Customers report mixed results with this granular rodent repellent. Many praised its effectiveness against mice, squirrels, and other rodents, with some saying "it works" and noting no more mice after application. However, several customers found it ineffective against squirrels and rats. Positive feedback highlighted safety for pets and ease of use. Common concerns included high price and short-lasting scent.

  • The Granular Rodent Repellent is magic! Squirrels leave my potted plants alone.
  • I sprinkled around my toolshed. This spring, NO MICE! Wasn't expecting it to work that well!

Pesky mice

Tried initial application with spray and granules and so far has not worked keeping mice away from industrial vehicles. Tried a second application today and will see if it works.

Hey Mark, thanks for giving our Rodent MACE a try. Please keep in mind that our products are not instant action and do require a few reapplications to start showing positive results. I am glad you are going to keep applying!

Rodent

I've always been satisfied with your products. This is the first time I tried your rodent mace. Unfortunately, I'm not happy with this rodent mace. It didn't work for me. The rats remained. Still climbed my fig tree. Wandering around the patio. I thought for sure this would work because I've purchased your other products.

Hey Reymundo,
We are sorry to hear that you have not seen positive results with the Rodent MACE. We would love to discuss this with you and remedy the situation. Please reply and our Customer Service Manager will review this with you.
Thank you!

Has not been down long..but hopeful😁🐭🐭

Have filled mesh bags with the mixture and have them in areas where mice are known to run. Will also be scattering it under the mobile home. Too soon to tell, but may be back for more.

Too soon to tell

We have an extreme mouse problem. We have sprayed and used granuals for a couple of weeks now. While we hear less scurrying under the radiator covers at night there is still ample evidence of their presence throughout the house. We spray and saturate several areas every few days when we notice the smell of the product has dissipated. Some areas seem better. Other areas don't seem to be doing as well. Time will tell if the review will get better. We have hope this product will produce better results as we continue to use it.

I haven’t been able to use the granular till today since we have had rain just about everyday. I sprinkled it along our fence and other areas. I also use the spray firm in the house around all the pipe entrances and cable lines. I literally spray it on the dryer vent outside. So far so good.

Good nights sleep!

I had mice in attic and am a light sleeper, so had not slept well in several weeks. Once I found the entry area it was too big for mento plug without expertise, so I just sprayed Natures mace heavily around entire entrance area . That night, heard no mice! Amazing.

No more smoke bombs

I’ve got a huge mole problem in my yard. I’ve used over 20 smoke bombs to try to get rid of them but they just keep popping up. I couldn’t use most products because I have two dogs, but then I found natures mace. Very easy to use and I don’t have any anxiety about using it all around my house. My mole problem that has been a thorn in my side since I purchased my new home has been completely fixed thanks to this product. Now it’s time to grow some healthy grass!!!

Great product but pricey

Rodent Mace appears to work as advertised. I just ordered a second 6 pound bag but with some reluctance. If the prices were lower I probably would order the granules more often, and perhaps try different products.

Not Sure

We have had great results from the squirrel spray, it works.
It is hard to tell f the Rodent Mace works, we have spread it twice under sunroom, and because it is exposed to the wind that blows through the surrounding "wooden skirt", we were still observing some mice coming out in the evening.

IF YOU HAVE SQUIRRELS THAT ARE DIGGERS, GET THIS NOT SQUIRREL MACE

I recently purchased both Squirrel Mace and Rodent Mace because I wasn't sure what the difference was. I have squirrels that seem to be looking for nuts (that aren't there) in my newly planted raised beds...hundreds of holes, baby plants just tossed to the side. Imagine cute little squirrels with NY street savvy added to the mix and you get an idea of what I'm battling. I sprayed the Squirrel Mace outside the beds and planters which kind of slowed them down a bit, but it wasn't enough to keep them OUT the soil--like they held their little noses and continued the destruction. But the Rodent Mace was the charm, because you can sprinkle it right on the soil in the beds. Not a single one in sight for the past 3 days. This stuff WORKS, and I've tried everything...I was ready to give up trying to have a garden. So happy! (Oh and customer service is TOP NOTCH A+++++)

So far it's working!

We haven't seen any mice since we put down the Nature's Mace but it is just the beginning of the winter season so we hope it will continue to keep them out of our crawl space. My husband usually puts down traps but I hate to see their little bodies crushed in them so if we can avoid that, I'm happy!

Easy to use

I got the granular and the spray. We’ve not had a mouse problem but my landlady was concerned because I have a bird feeder. We live in a townhouse so used the granules around the foundation and base of fence. I used the spray in areas of the patio an basement area that faces the front.
I like that it’s non toxic. It has a strong peppermint smell with a touch of garlic but better than toxic chemicals

We're glad you like our Rodent MACE Beverly! Thank you for choosing Nature's MACE!

Will Rodent MACE granular work well against ground hogs? In MD I have a major problem with groundhogs attacking my enclosed vegetable garden, burrowing under the fence. Thank you for your response!

Nature's MACE

Thank you for your question! The Best solution to use for Ground Hogs is Castor Oil. The castor oil taints the flavor of the plants they are eating so they leave the area.
