Yes. When used as directed, Skeeter MACE Outdoor Insect Control Spray is safe for use on plants. It’s designed for use across lawns, yards, landscapes, wooded areas, gardens, and other outdoor spaces. Avoid applications to food or feed crops. Always thoroughly rinse any fruits or vegetables before consuming them.
To best protect your plants, apply when temperatures are below 90°F. Spraying during peak sunlight hours or at higher temperatures can cause burns or discoloration of leaves and grass. To minimize the risk of damage, apply Skeeter MACE in the early morning or evening when your lawn and plants are not exposed to prolonged direct sunlight.
Skeeter MACE outdoor insect spray is specifically formulated for outdoor use and has not been tested for indoor environments or direct application on pets or people. We advise against using it inside your home or on animals or humans.
Shake well before each use. For the initial treatment, apply liberally and evenly to any outdoor area’s bugs are present in. Spray alongside your home's foundation and apply outwards to keep bugs out. Apply more frequently to break the egg cycle. Target mosquito larvae by applying to low-level vegetation and areas of water. Cover the entire area and slightly overlap areas. Apply at least one hour prior to an outdoor event. Spray again within 5-10 days, or as needed, to establish control. Re-apply every month for ongoing prevention. Reapply after heavy rainfall. To kill insects directly on plants, apply Skeeter MACE directly to plant leaves, thoroughly covering the foliage—including the undersides of leaves. Reapply as needed or once every 1–2 weeks. Apply ready-to-use spray directly to the soil as a soil drench to target ground insects and prevent insect dirt mounds.
Skeeter MACE can be used in almost any misting or watering system, fogger, or application sprayer. For commercial use and mixing systems apply at the normal 32:1 ratio or 0.80 fluid ounces per 1,000 square feet. Skeeter MACE concentrate is highly concentrated and must be properly diluted to avoid damage to plants. For the concentrates, this product requires mixing with water in a lawn or garden application sprayer. See the back label for mixing ratios. Nature’s MACE™ animal repellents are designed for use around homes, gardens, properties, etc. Do not spray directly at or onto animals. The product is only effective when used as directed.
One of our favorite things to do throughout the summer is to sit out in our backyard. I use Skeeter Mace at my horse barn and have had fantastic results. My horses no longer require fly sheets or get covered with mosquito bits. I feel comfortable spraying it around my animals because of the natural ingredients.
