Product Details

Through university studies, we identified which ingredients worked best at repelling deer and rabbits. We then included more of those key ingredients into one formula to make, what we believe to be, the strongest deer and rabbit repellent on the market. We include more of what really works. A key factor that distinguishes our deer repellents from others is that ours incorporates a minty scent. Although we use ingredients such as garlic and putrescent egg, we mask those unpleasant smells with minty aromas. So now you can enjoy the beautiful aroma of nature without being repelled yourself!

It incorporates a unique 3-pronged approach, by combining fear, scent, and taste-based technology into one ultimate product. With Deer and Rabbit MACE, there is no need for product rotation. The repellent goes to work fast and is long-lasting. It contains proprietary sticking agents that make it weather resistant. It binds to plants and will not easily wash off. Both our granular and liquid repellents work extremely well in the winter season. They work to prevent deer rubbings, which can severely damage and kill plants.

Nature’s MACE Deer and Rabbit Repellent is made with proven ingredients and is safe for use around family, pets, and wildlife (when used as directed). Our deer deterrents provide for year-round deer and rabbit control. They are trusted by professional growers, farmers, nurseries, landscapers, backyard gardeners, and commercial applicators. You’ve invested time and money into building the perfect landscape. Cherish it and protect your plants with a deer deterrent proven to contain the best technology on the market. Shake the bottle before each use. Spray directly to leaves, stems, flowers, and branches from all angles. Also, apply alongside the plant’s perimeter. Apply until the plant drips and the leaves are wet. Repeat spraying in 7 days. Thereafter, spray once per month. Allow 20-30 minutes for the product to dry before watering. Avoid spraying when plants are wet with dew. Applications will hold up through light to moderate rain. Re-apply after heavy rainfall.

To prevent deer rubbings, spray directly to the base of plants and tree trunks. If you live in a heavily deer-populated area you may need to apply more frequently. At first, the product will have a slight smell but will dry odor-free. This deer repellent is designed to change browsing behavior and train deer to stay away. Follow directions to prevent deer from returning. We recommend testing a small area on the plant before applying it on a large scale, as some plant types are sensitive. For the concentrates, this product requires mixing with water in a lawn or garden application sprayer. See the back label for mixing ratios.

Deer and Rabbit Away

Great Product, really works, I use the liquid on our plants and a day or two later, spread the granular in a 3 ft radius around the plants. Repeat about every 3 or 4 weeks and you will not have issues.

So far so good. This is the second season that I have used the Granules and the spray to control deer and rabbits from eating my hostas in my backyard.

No one can believe that all the deer that pass my house are NOT eating my hosta. It really works

Bonnie Titley (Colorado)

Can’t review what I can’t use because sprayer is defective. And you don’t answer the 800 number or respond to emails. Not such good customer service, folks. Bonnie Titley

Hi Bonnie,
I returned your voicemail multiple times. I am sorry we were unable to reach each other. I also ordered your replacement sprayer to be shipped once I had enough information from your voicemail. I apologize for the inconvenience; your new sprayer should be arriving in the next couple of days.
Thank you,

Good bye Deer

Now my hydrangeas are coming back

This spray works!

Deer we devastating our Annabell Hydrangea! We thought they’d never bloom. But after repeated spraying with Deer and Rabbit Mace (according to directions), the deer are gone and the bushes grew back and they are flowering!

Mary Jane Oehler (Wisconsin)
So far good!

I have just recently begun using Nature's Mace. The deer are plentiful here as we live on a golf course. We have an empty lot on one side, and that is where they locate, or come through and have their babies for the past 20 years. I have tried every product and so far I am waiting to see if this will work. I bought the pellets to spread around the flower beds, and also the spray. We have had to do more watering this year due to some landscape repair, and also little or no rain in our area. So not sure how it stands up to daily watering. But the deer seem to be avoiding it so far, when i see then go through during the day or early eve when they are prowling, but not sure what happens during the night. And babies don't get their scent sensitivity until they get bigger. So stay tuned!!! I will give you another report another time.

It really works.

I have used Deer Mace for at least two years, and this year, my plants were untouched. So this summer, I had all my plants/flowers. Now my cedars are another story. I did not treat them, and the deer ate those through the winter. Now I have to treat those also.
