It’s an entirely different story for bed bugs – they are ready to move right under your undies to find food. So, that’s how you tell a bed bug bite from flea bite, basically. Additionally, bed bug bite is accompanied by a couple of distinct symptoms. Below are some of them.
What to do after experiencing a bed bug bite
First, avoid scratching the bitten spot no matter how itchy and sore it gets. The reason is simple: the more you scratch, the sorer it gets. Yea, it won’t be easy, but you haven’t got much of a choice. If the temptation to scratch gets overwhelming, consider wrapping cold ice around the bitten area.
Second, apply an anti-itching cream to the affected spot. This will help ease up the incessant itching sensation that if just so difficult to resist scratching. If applying a cream won’t be practical – probably because of allergic reaction to the cream – take antihistamine. Antihistamine is a specially formulated medication which helps minimize the burning and itching sensation caused by insect bite. Ensure you consult with a doctor before taking any anti-itching medication or cream to avoid suffering any allergic reaction afterwards.
