How to Removal House Mice

Mice are often categorized as pests because they live in homes, chew on wires and wood, and contaminate food. It is often common to hear people complain about mice. These complaints comprise the following:

STEP ONE: Check your homes for mice. You may have noticed a bit of scurrying or scraping around the house or of tiny feet hurrying across your attic or in your walls. Judging the situation from sounds alone may not be enough, so you should conduct a thorough check to catch sight of these pests so you know what kind of rodent you are dealing with. It could be a rat, or a squirrel, or mice. In case of an infestation, the three mentioned animals will leave traces of gnawing and roosting objects, but the traces left by mice are usually small and thin. The best way to know is if you see traces of their feces.

STEP TWO: Having identified the pest as a mouse or mice, look for any openings, holes or gaps which these mice may be using to penetrate your homes or buildings. This is the most important measure and it is also important that you inspect the whole building thoroughly. Check everywhere including the vents, roof lines, loose siding, places where pipes enter the building, rim gaps, AC gaps for any hole or gap in the building. And check both the roof and the grounds. Check for even the tiniest hole you could possibly find. Once you have seen these holes, you should seal them up either with steel mesh or with a sealant. Hindering them from gaining access to your building is an important step to completely eliminating mice.

STEP THREE: after you must have sealed up the different holes you can find, the next step is to trap and eliminate them. There are different kinds of mouse traps in the market but from years of testing them, I discovered that the original Victor brand wooden snap traps are best suited for catching mice. This does not mean that you cannot try other traps. Placing the traps is the most vital thing to consider. You definitely have to place them on their trails or wherever you see them running. Search for their feces and set a lot of traps where there seem to be a heavy mouse presence.

STEP FOUR: Always check the traps regularly and try to pay attention to hear if there are still scrapings or putter-pattering sounds in walls or ceilings. Inspect the building for fresh feces. STEP FIVE: After you have gotten rid of the mice, you should tidy up the crawl space. Take out all the feces and other things they may have stained. House mice are pests that are easily found in homes. They are about three inches long, do not weigh more than an ounce, and are smaller compared to rats. They can give birth to offspring twelve times a year with a dozen babies at each point.
