Product Details

Nature’s MACE Commercial Deer and Rabbit Repellent is made with proven ingredients, shown by university studies to be effective in repelling deer. Deer and Rabbit MACE has been used heavily in commercial farming and for protecting trees, plants, vineyards, orchards, and crops. Our commercial deer deterrent will help to increase overall plant yield and ideally your bottom line. Farmers lose millions of dollars annually to deer damage, repel deer and protect plants with Nature’s MACE.

Nature’s MACE is easy to use, cost-effective, and long-lasting. The deer repellent goes to work fast and contains proprietary sticking agents that make it weather resistant. It binds to plants, can be used in all seasons, and will not easily wash off. The formula will not leave a film, stain, or damage plants. It is safe for use on all plant types, when used as directed. When mixed, Nature’s MACE is specially formulated to prevent clogs in hand-pump, backpack, ATV/UTV, and boom sprayers. After each application, rinse the sprayer with clean water, (and a touch of soap), to avoid product buildup.

Nature’s MACE repels hungry herbivores with a three-pronged strategy that blends scent, taste, and fear cues into one powerful topical deer-repellent spray.

• Smell Barrier – A potent, mint-forward aroma derived from essential oils overwhelms the herbivores nose and forms the first line of defense. A biodegradable sticking agent binds the repellent to leaves, stems, and bark, forming a clear film that keeps protecting through light-to-moderate rain and normal watering.

• Taste Barrier – Ingredients like garlic and putrescent egg make even a single bite instantly unpalatable, quickly teaching deer and rabbits that your plants are off the menu.

• Fear Response – These same protein-based ingredients also mimic danger cues in a deer’s environment. These ingredients release a faint sulfur-like scent that deer and rabbits instinctively link to predators. This "warning signal" triggers a flight reaction to keep deer away before feeding can begin.
Yes, our repellent is effective year-round. The best time to begin spraying is at the start of each growing season. After a long winter, deer are eager to eat fresh growth. Apply in early spring to protect seedlings and sprouts before blooms start. Be sure to spray seedlings and new growth right when they emerge.

One coat lasts about 30 days under normal rainfall. If you notice deer activity in winter, they are likely to return in spring. Both our granular and liquid formulas work well during winter. Although these plants are dormant, deer will eat them and weaken spring growth. They act as winter repellents, preventing browsing, nibbling, and overall plant damage. Spraying during winter serves as a preventative measure, allowing you to apply it less frequently, about once every 2 months, due to the reduced plant foliage.
We recommend applying it heavily to the ground and surrounding areas of edible plants. You can also apply it directly to plants but avoid spraying the edible parts. Be sure to thoroughly rinse any crops, such as fruits or vegetables, before consuming them.
Yes. Deer rubbings can cause significant damage and even kill plants. To prevent this, apply the spray directly to the base of plants and tree trunks. If you live in an area with a high deer population, you may need to reapply the product more frequently. This deer repellent is specifically formulated to change deer browsing habits and train them to avoid treated areas.

Directions For Use

The deer repellent comes as a liquid concentrate. Shake contents and mix with water before use. Apply at a rate of 8 fluid ounces per gallon of water at a ratio of 16:1 or 1.43 fluid ounces per 1,000 square feet. Apply heavily to areas deer frequently roam or use as access points. In the beginning, apply more frequently to stop active browsing. Spray directly to leaves, stems, flowers, and branches from all angles. Apply until the plant drips and the leaves are wet. Repeat spraying in 7 days. Thereafter, spray once per month. Apply to DRY plant foliage, and not during peak sun hours. Avoid spraying when plants are wet with dew. Allow at least 1 hour for the product to dry before watering. Do not apply before or after heavy rain. Applications will hold up through light to moderate rain. Re-apply after heavy rainfall. We recommend testing a small area on the plant before applying it on a large scale, as some plant types are sensitive.

For planted 50-acre field: Spray mixed product 20 rows in or 35 feet in from the outside perimeter. Approx. 25 Gallons of concentrate will be required. A paint mixer is effective when mixing concentrate in 5-gallon pails. Before spraying, inspect the field edges—deer usually start browsing along the perimeter. If you find hoofprints inside the crop, walk the fence line and spot-treat any gaps. Pro Tip: For applicators, we recommend adding an additional sticking agent to the deer repellent for longer-lasting results. Many applicators have found success in adding a Sur-Tec Liquid Surfactant by Agritec International.

Highly effective deer and rabbit repellent that customers say "works even better than advertised." Rain-resistant formula lasts 10-14 days between applications. Successfully protects crops, gardens, and plantings across large acreages. "Works as advertised" with consistent results when applied before animals establish feeding patterns.

Works even better than advertised! Doesn't wash off after rain.
I had tried almost all deer repellent products, and my look is over.
Lasts longer and also repels rabbits. Two for one combo!

Natures Mace is amazing I have been using this product for years. As a matter of fact I wrote a glowing review 3 years ago.
I raise 7 acres of pumpkins and winter squash in an area that is heavily populated with dear. After one application of natures mace the feeding on the pumpkins completely stopped! The best part is that it doesn’t wash off after rain. I have been able to stretch my applications out 10 -14 days.

Great product. Works as advertised

Works as advertised. I have been using this for several years on my customers properties and have found it to be very effective. However timing is key. Start spraying before deer establish their feeding patterns to get the ultimate success.

Great stuff

Definitely helping to keep the deer away from plantings.

5 Gallon

No More Deer

I had tried almost all the deer repellent products on the market, and my look is over. I was skeptical, but Nature's Mace seems to have put my neighborhood deer's at bay. I used the granular as well as the liquid, and over the last 6 weeks, no more deer!

I’ve been using the deer repellent on my 7 acres of pumpkins and winter squash for at least 4 years now. I can’t believe how little damage there is
It’s almost as if there aren’t any deer around

Nature's Mace Rocks

I've used Nature's Mace repellents for the past 4 years with great success! Works on deer and other nuisance pests. Highly recommend!

We love this Deer &

We love this Deer & Rabbit Mace stuff at our small tree farm! The last repellent we bought did the trick, but this stuff lasts longer and also repels rabbits. Two for one combo! Smells good and easy to spray too.

This is the only deer

This is the only deer repellant that works for us. I live in Virginia with one of the highest deer populations. Its the only product that will the deer off my fields.

When spraying this product on soybeans we would like to use it on the beans so they have a chance to grow. Then we want to be able to hunt the soybeans in the fall.So the question is how long will the spray last on the beans so we can get the deer back eating them around hunting season. We don’t want to deter the deer for the whole season just long enough to get them to grow. Thanks

Nature's MACE

Hi, thanks for your question. After about two-three weeks with no reapplications the scent should dissapate enough that the deer will start to come back. You may also water/rinse the plants well to get rid of the smell faster.
